Desperately Seeking A Full Man

Emotionally deficient need not apply

1. He must have a head, for what is a relationship without intelligent conversation? Ideas and thoughts to bounce back and forth? Difference of opinions to help aid learning and growth. The ability to broaden horizons and challenge each other.

2. He must have a heart. The organ that beats erratically with passion. Leading with emotion, loyalty, sensitivity, empathy. Vulnerable to the fact that it can be broken but faithful enough to trust it’s own feelings. The one thing that is universal and yet reserved for that one special person who can heal it.

3. He must have strong arms. Arms to lift when the other cannot, to carry when the other isn’t strong enough. To comfort, be a safe place, hold some of the weight. To be home.

He must have tough hands, hands to help fix and with housework. To cook with me, and also work hard. Hands that will help pay the bills. Hands that hold gently while still being rough.

5. He must have feet. Feet that will go on adventures, and travel. Feet to lead when the other cannot, but follow when the need arises. Feet that are secure going in the direction needed. Feet that will dance to their own rhythm while holding you in his arms.

When I find this man, I will be his ribs, I will encase his heart and protect him. I will be his spine so that I can support him and make sure he always stands tall. I will be his legs, leading him forward to his greatness. I will be his spirit, helping him grow, his eyes, showing him all the beauty he may miss.

When I find him, we will be one, complete, whole.

Bound to wander alone,

CR
